Study Visit

10-16 March 2025 | Jesús (Tortosa, Catalonia), Spain

A study visit for youth passionate about rural areas, focusing on sustainability, empowerment, and ecological challenges through international connections and local insights.

The study visit has the aim of meeting different international people interested in rural world (agriculture, environment, nature) so we can help them to get inspired. The meeting should bring new projects, create network and bring ideas related to rural world and youth in order to empower them. Ecological problems and education are an interesting field to learn in this area.

The program is set also to meet local people and to know how they have empowered themselves into a very small society, also how they have overcome obstacle or how they see themselves into Europe.

The place where we usually host our projects is also a good example on how to grow in a sustainable way with youth. Torre Sant Antoni it is placed in the country side. Since 2021 international groups, workcamps, volunteers or trainings are being develop in this place. The house is a dynamic place where long term volunteers live but also a place where we develop workcamps, hosting TC or develop activities at local level.

We are looking for candidates motivated to learn more about it and have a strong interest on sharing and creating new ideas/ projects.

AIMS OF THE VISIT:

  • To share experiences and best practices between the countries and local community.
  • To discuss the quality of rural youth work and how it can be improved;
  • To promote sustainable contacts between the youth NGOs aiming at future development of projects within the Erasmus Plus program.

Learning outcomes:

  • Cross-cultural exchange: Participants will gain insights into youth work practices and approaches from different countries.
  • Best practices: Participants will identify and learn from effective youth work from other partners.
  • Rural youth work: Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by rural youth.

Participants profile:

  • Age: +18
  • Active in rural youth work;
  • Interested youth cooperation at rural world;
  • Eager to learn more about rural youth work and apply it in your practice;
  • To participate or have a link with rurality;
  • Having a working knowledge of English, the working language of the activity;
  • Available to actively attend the full duration of the activity.
  • Having experience with mobility or willing to work with mobility programs.

Obre’t Ebre (www.obretebre.org) as coordinating organization of the Study Visit is running youth projects at international level since 2005. The organization was created in 2005 by a group of young people. Nowadays the organization is managing projects addressed to young people and women (specially the ones who face greater difficulties).

The organization will cover all food and accommodation expenses for participants during the study visit.

Travel reimbursement

According to EU travel band. Previous to the booking Obre’t Ebre will give you the approval. After checking all the prove and not late than 2 months we will reimburse the travel.
