Organiser:
African Empowerment Centre (Youth NGO)
African Empowerment Centre was found in 2008 by group of young immigrants from Africa in Sweden, to be centre where Africans immigrants can be helped to integrate in the society they live. Although our efforts focus primarily on information and referral of African immigrants residing in Sweden, we also work with African youth and African descendants in order to combat stereotypes and demystify situations that hinder the full integration of immigrants and descendants of Africans in Sweden. The organisation works primarily to foster closer cooperation and better
understanding among young people. It offers a place for encounter and cooperation of NGOs, communities and organisations working on integration between all citizens regardless of ethnic background, religion, physical or mental disability, sex, age or sexual orientation.
