The toolkit is meant to bridge non-formal education and permaculture for new comers.
It can be used by youth workers, young people or volunteers in European and local projects.

Aims of the tool

- to promote permaculture principles and actions through non-formal methods
- to help youth organizations to teach permaculture to new comers through illustrative, reflective, practical and group activities

Description of the tool

The toolkit was created during Foundations, a small-scale KA2 project, together with an Online platform where different other tools for learning about permaculture can be found: https://projectfoundations.eu/
The main activity of the project was a Permaculture Design Course in Portugal, with Lucy Logan (Planet Schooling) and Andre Soares, two of the most experienced trainers in the field.

The tools helps in understanding the basics of permaculture and the 12 principles (by David Holmgren) through personal reflection exercises, group exercises and practical workshops.
