The “Manual for School Teachers against Fake News” is an E-book for teachers to combate Fake News. Features critical thinking exercises, gamification, risk identification for students, and integration into school programs.
The aim of the tool is to equip school teachers with resources and methodologies to combat Fake News effectively. It focuses on fostering critical and lateral thinking among students through problem-solving exercises, identifying students at risk of negative effects from fake news, using gamification to teach debunking and critical thinking, and providing practical examples and exercises for teachers to integrate the topic into school programs.
The "Manual for School Teachers against Fake News" is an e-book aimed at equipping teachers with methodologies to promote critical and lateral thinking among students through problem-solving exercises focused on debunking Fake News. It includes a psychological test to identify students at risk of negative effects from fake news, a gamification methodology for teaching debunking and critical thinking, and practical examples for teachers. The tool covers various issues, such as recognizing fake news in different subjects, educating students about propaganda and misinformation, integrating these topics into the curriculum, and developing school policies and action plans. It also provides 10 tips for teaching and learning about fake news, emphasizes the dangers of disinformation, and introduces non-formal learning tools and games for combating fake news. The aim is to enhance students' media literacy, analytical skills, and critical thinking in identifying propaganda, misinformation, and falsehoods.

The target groups for the "Manual for School Teachers against Fake News" are school teachers. The e-book is specifically designed to provide resources and methodologies to help teachers in their efforts to combat Fake News and promote critical thinking among their students aged from 12 to 17, but could be extended to all population as the fakenews and its impact is deeper than what we can observe.
