TALMIL.ORG offers access to educational resources on media and information literacy in the Western Balkans
TALMIL, whose acronym stands for “Teach and learn about media and information literacy”, addresses various themes: the circulation of fake news, the identification of hate speech, or citizen journalism. The contents are available in Albanian, BCMS, Macedonian, French and English.
If you work with young people aged 15 to 19 years-old and want to make them aware of the media and their use, you can utilize the educational content of the TALMIL platform to lead media and information literacy workshops with your audiences.
The platform is also suitable for young adults who wish to learn more about the media and strengthen their critical thinking in this regard. A dedicated “youth section” provides theoretical content, quizzes and activities to learn independently.
Designed by media education experts, the platform was produced as part of the project Balkans Voices, implemented by CFI, Media development agency, in cooperation with cultural action services of the embassies of France in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
Balkans Voices project, which supports TALMIL aims to promote youth expression and regional exchanges in the Western Balkans, through digital media. Funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the project encourages critical analysis of information, and will support young players in new media and in the audiovisual sector.
