-to increase participant’s self-confidence, self-esteem and to address the issue of self-value;
-to give the participants an opportunity to get to know each other better.
At the start of the activity the facilitator stimulates a discussion about the inner values. In next step, the facilitator distribute the handouts and reviews them. The handouts contain drawing of shield divided into six main parts: something I like about me; things I am good at; people that support me, something I am good at; a wish for myself, signature. The participant receive 15 – 20 minutes to insert information about their personal qualities and preferences. Then they turn their shield and make a picture of themselves or give a name to their shield. In next step, they discuss their shields in pairs. After they put their shields on the floor and they share with the whole group (if they wish). At the end the facilitator make an empowering conclusion.
