CULTURE GOES EUROPE (CGE)- Soziokulturelle Initiative Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit, non-governmental organization situated in Erfurt, founded and run by young professionals, who are designing, implementing and evaluating local and international youth projects in the field of civic, cultural, ecological and economical education. CGE Erfurt e.V. has more than 10 years of experience creating educational concepts, that allow participants to develop a self-defined strategy of learning in the framework of non-formal education.
CGE Erfurt e.V. is active in the fields of local, national and international youth work, arts and cultural activities and in political education through the realisation of different projects and programmes with local, national and international partners. Our special focus applies for the countries in Eastern and South Eastern Europe. Our aims and objectives are:
1.To provide high quality non-formal programmes to young people
2.To train young people committed to peace, democracy and solidarity;
3.To support the integration of young people into the society and to activate their civil engagement;
4.To raise young people´s engagement for solving community, educational, environmental and social problems;
5.To promote a better understanding of cultural diversity and the fight against racism, discrimination, xenophobia and nationalism
