To foster and prepare the futures exchanges - in the framework of the Action 1.1- focussed on the participation of the young people with fewer opportunities.The methodology will be based on the motivation and practical work in small multinational groups.
The main aim of this course is to promote youth exchanges involving young people with fewer opportunities within the framework of the Youth in Action Programme. Exchanges encourage youth’s active participation in society and boost their European citizenship, two of the programme priorities. As well, the course could become a useful tool to strengthen cooperation among the ERY network regions. The specific aims are the following: 1. To acquire a basic and practical information about the YiA Programme and its actions. 2. To appreciate the educational value of the Programme concerning the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. 3. To develop the techniques and the knowledge required to organize action 1.1 projects, involving young people with fewer opportunities. 4. To design and to develop exchange projects among organizations of the ERY network. 5. To know experiences carried out by youth groups and foster their knowledge by the participants. Methodology The methodology will be based on the motivation and practical work in small multinational groups. Basic theoretical contents will be learnt through a dynamic and participative way, using resources of non-formal education. Special attention will be paid to the promotion of the active participation of youngsters, as real actors of the exchange, as well as to educational aspects of the project and everything concerning the participants’ protection and safety. Furthermore, experiences and case studies will be shown, which will help to understand the importance of the active participation of young people in all exchange stages and which will form the basis to know the techniques to solve conflicts in order to deal with practical and coexistence problems. Facilities of the hostel and its location will be used (proximity of the beach, the town of Benicàssim and the natural park of the Desert de les Palmes) to work on resources and difficulties of an specific environment in the design of an exchange project.
