Here we are, include us!
A 5 days partnership building activity which aims to bring together youth workers, working directly with young people with fewer opportunities, to provide space to develop partnerships for future short term EVS projects.
A lot of organisations wish to develop projects for specific excluded young people but are missing the right “soul mate” partners. Short term EVS can open a lot of new entries to approach the target group as long as the right common understanding is clear between all involved. This is difficult from a distance and for this reason an opportunity to discover each other face to face can be more then welcome. Here we will be, now we can do it…lets include our target group.
Specific aims and objectives:
- To support sending and hosting of young people with fewer opportunities
- To provide an opportunity to organisations to find partners to develop projects
- To develop organisations’ capacity to send/host young people with fewer opportunities
- To motivate the organisations to send/host young people with fewer opportunities
- To make a clearer view of the administrative obstacles and potential benefits of sending/hosting young people with fewer opportunities
- To establish partnerships for future networking
For Whom?
The participants may come from EVS-accredited organisations who are already active in sendingand hosting EVS volunteers with fewer opportunities and from those who see the potential of starting it.
We are also open for a few participants who may come from organisations that are not accredited for EVS but are working directly with young people with fewer opportunities and would like to start it now.
Represented organisations may come from all programme countries and also from partner countries from EECA or SEE region.
We aim for future projects so we are looking for participants who have an active and decision making role, about EVS,in their organisation and who will have the mandate to start future cooperation.
Motivation to send, and/or to host, is needed… Willing to be both is an asset.
Methods:
We will use a variety of different non formal methods, such as simulation, sharing, experiential learning, information and advice, but most of all we will provide the time, space and opportunity to discover the potential and the value of a good cooperation for successful partnerships. This process will be guided by a team which has a lot of experience themselves on the topic and on the field.
