TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/RichardKotr/
Psychologist by degree, facilitator by calling. I’m in training in processwork and shaped by a background in alternative education. At the Socratic Institute – a civic education course blending critical thinking, community, and activism – I founded Bee in Flow, a creative career counselling project for teens. With friends, we turned it into an Erasmus+ informal group and ran a youth exchange. Now I work as a freelance trainer and guide (teacher) at an alternative high school in Prague.
Richard Kotrč has 4 references for past work as a trainer.
Training Facilitator & Career Counsellor
I have been working as a trainer and facilitator since 2017, both independently and with NGOs such as KERIC (Čadca, Slovakia) and ReCreativity (Budapest, Hungary). My experience includes leading international youth exchanges, training courses, and mentoring ESC volunteers. I have a background in psychology and have worked in social services. I co-founded Bee in Flow, a creative career counseling project for high school students, which evolved into an Erasmus+ informal group and successfully implemented a youth exchange. I’m currently a freelance trainer, guide, and prevention methodologist at an alternative high school in Prague. I also volunteer with Plamienok, offering grief support to children, adolescents, and families.
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Comenius University in Bratislava and completed the Psychotherapy and Counselling Training Programme at the Prague College of Psychosocial Studies. I also studied at the Socratic Institute – a year-long civic education program for emerging social leaders – where I gained hands-on skills in facilitation, project design, media, leadership, and fair use of power. My final project focused on creative career counseling for high school students. I’ve completed career counseling training at Comenius University and am currently in a year-long training in facilitating groups using process-oriented psychology. Non-formally, I’ve participated in and co-led various Erasmus+ training courses on mindfulness, leadership, experiential learning, project management, employability, and sustainability – all of which continue to shape my work as a trainer.
