Aims & objectives

"Youth Together for a Better Life" aimed to stimulate discussion on the impact and potential of cohesion and mutual understanding about healthy lifestyles in young population.
Creating space and conditions for an active and enriching inter-cultural dialogue, the primary objective is to compare and discuss public policies, stereotypes, prejudices, projects, analyse programs and campaigns related to consumption of illicit substances in the countries involved in this project and to empower participants to an active role in their communities and among their peer groups (multiplier effect).
- Stimulate active and healthy life styles;
- Experience outdoor sports
- Raise Awareness about risk behaviours related to young people.
- Awareness for the importance of healthy lifestyles and also drugs side-effect.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

35 participants between 18 and 35 years old from Portugal, Serbia, Georgia, Lithuania, Armenia, Spain
and Italy.

Training methods used & main activities

In this activity non-formal and informal learning methods were used, such as: energizers and morning sports, group dynamics, debates, workshops about nutrition, Healthy Life Styles Workshop, outdoor activities, The role of social networks + Radio workshop visit and walking in the Natural Reserve of Terceira Island, “Healthy Chef” Dinner and study visit to Quinta dos Açores.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Co-cordinator of the project and full time trainer and facilitator of all the activities, responsible for the preparation, delivering and evaluation of the activities.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
