Aims & objectives

● Networking + network strengthening
● Increase knowledge of participants of the impact of various policies, programs and processes on peacebuilding and encourage participants to play an active role in advocating for peace
● Develop advocacy strategy for 2016-2020
● Participants had fun, are inspired by others (peers and champions from the field)

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Representatives of youth-led peacebuilding organizations, of 18-30 age, majority of different European nationalities (from Iceland to South Caucasus), but also non-European representatives (Nepal, Kenya, Argentina, etc.). Both UNOY Peacebuilders member organisations and non-members.

Training methods used & main activities

Combining hosting methods with non-formal learning elements while keeping it a forum format. Hosting methods: break-out sessions, sharing tools, working groups, stepping stones, world cafe, panel discussion, methods inspired by concepts of hackathon, self-organised learning environment. Empowering elements (social contract, self-directed learning), role plays; Practice project

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Designing the program based on needs of the participants and instructions of UNOY Peacebuilders and its delivery. Everything together with a co-facilitator.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
