YEP - Youth Empowerment and Participation

Aims & objectives

• empowering youth workers by practicing specific tools, exploring new educational theories of youth empowerment and participation
• enhancing participation, coaching and mentoring of youth workers
• assessment of good practices in empowerment of youth and inclusion
• improve knowledge, skills and attitudes of coaching
• understanding the relevance of the coaching process in supporting young peoples' active participation
• understanding how nature and outdoor activities can be used for youth empowerment
• supporting the creation of empowering and sustainable projects
• and develop cooperation with other organizations working in the same field within Erasmus + programme

Armenia, Malta. Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Norway, Czech Rep, Latvia and Germany.

The participants were all between the age of 19 - 33 with experience in working with young people on a local level.

Training methods used & main activities

Wrokshops, Video Forums, Simulations, refelctions sessions and other non formal methods of education were used during this training course.

Outcomes of the activity

- Participants learnt more about the concept of coaching
- Participants understood better how through coaching you can increase empowerment and participation
- Agreed on a definition of Empowerment and participation on a European Level
- Learnt more about Erasmus+ as a tool

A facebook group was created for dissemination of tools. This is a closed group for reasons of privacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of the main trainers. I was responsible for Designing and implementing the training course and also prepare the final report for the National Agency.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
