Aims & objectives

Experiantial education and outdoor eduacation based seminar organised together/next to IMOSC (International Mountaneering and Outdoor Sports Conference) which brings together young leaders and students in field of outdoors sports, education and enviromenmental studies together with academics and high-level practisioners from the outdoor education fields. Conference at Hruba Skala together with the seminar is always a melting pot of ideas, enthusiasm, experiments and good based theoretical background.

aims & objectives:
To provide young people with possiblity to join the conference but as well gain something practicial on top of that. X-perience seminar was always a kick of whole X-perience educational pack of Experiantial education activities run within years 2008-2009 followed by LTTC X-perience.
The three main aimes and themes of the seminar are:
- being together (on one hand being together as a group, and on the other hand to be together with the people from the conference – that the Seminar and the Conference are taking place together is what makes this activity so special)
- Provide different kinds of experiences through a variation of methods
- Mark the “learning points”

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants from different European and neighbouring countries. Young leaders and students in field of outdoors sports, education and enviromenmental studies together. Group of 14 participants from Belgium, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Serbia, Latvia, Slovakia, Kosovo, Lithuania, Cyprus, Hungary.


Training methods used & main activities

Simulation games, outdoor games, using experiential cycle with metha reflections, workshops and lectures provided by academics participating in IMOSC conference, reflections, spiritual parts in the programme. Small programme parts provided by participants themselves.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants experienced and evaluated different types of outdoor and experiential programming, were enriched by creative workshops of academics on ethical leadership, mirroring etc.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Trainer, member of the organising team. Responsible for preparation, running and evaluation/follow up. Material co-ordinator, co-ordinator of external speakers (mostly academics in field of outdoor education) from IMOSC conference which had their workshops for our participants' groups.
