Aims & objectives

Leadership Development Congress (LDC) is project who connects high potential students from all around world. The goal of the congress is to encourage young people on leadership and educate them about characteristics and skills of a modern leader. Congress program enables opportunity for the delegates to better understand their role in society, problems they are going to face and self discovery. Knowing the reality we live in and by applying the new knowledge's we aim to develop young people and ambitious leaders who will contribute to progress of our society.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group was youth who wants to develop their leadership skills. The training was international and there were people from 15 countries.

Training methods used & main activities

Non-formal learning methods used:
ƒ- communication-based methods: interaction, dialogue
ƒ- activity-based methods: experience, practice, experimentation
ƒ- socially-focussed methods: partnership, teamwork, networking
ƒ- self-directed methods: creativity, discovery, responsibility

Outcomes of the activity

The outcome of the training was developing leadership skills among youth participants.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- creation session development
- Delivering sessions
- Observe each participant (e.g. behavioural patterns, group dynamics, interaction, emotional state etc)
- Ensure that your participants stay in between the comfort- and panic –zone (stretching/learning zone).
- facilitate the process and challenge delegates but never manipulate towards your ideas of leadership and self-discovery
- Flexibility and informal education teaching and learning adaptability in respond

I worked on this training for 4 days days as a full time trainer.
