TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The aim of this training was to rise environmental and climate awareness and action in the field of youth through re-creating the connection with nature and through active participation.
This training course brought together 18 youth workers from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. The team of trainers was international too - 2 trainers from Latvia and one from Romania.
The program of this training course was based on non-formal education methodology using nature connection activities from an eco-centric approach, creative writing, environmental workshop, speakers' corners and other interactive methods.
The training activity helped participants become more aware of climate and environmental issues in their own lives. It also gave them tools to discuss these topics with young people in their hometowns. Additionally, it allowed participants to reconnect with nature and see the benefits of outdoor activities.

I was a full-time member of the three-person trainer team. I was in charge of developing the environmental education content for the training and selecting the appropriate methodologies. I facilitated various sessions and ensured that the program flowed smoothly and delivered a meaningful learning experience.
I have been working with Stanislavs for 7 years, he has been the one inviting me in the non-formal education world.
