Aims & objectives

Watch Out Seminar was organized by Hope for Children Hungary with financial support of European Youth Foundation.

The main aim was to give a boost for the Hate Speech Watch (HSW) which is one of the tool of the No Hate Speech Movement. There were two specific aim, firstly to create an internal protocol for those activits that are working with the HSW, and for newcomers. Secondly to give a platform for participants to create new partnerships.

Main objectives were:
- development and capacity building of the HSW
- development of an internal protocol of the HSW
- capacity building of the volunteers
- improvment of the visibility and external communication of the HSW.

The organizer NGO is involved in the NHSM Campaign in national and international level since the establishment.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

A group of 22 participants attended the seminar, from Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Spain, Russia, Ukraina, United Kingdom

Training methods used & main activities

During the Seminar we have used mostly non-formal education methods, but also interactive presentations. To explain some legislative aspects of hate speech and different mechansism we used visual faciliation also.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants together created an internal protocol, which was sent as a reccommendation to the NHSM Campaign Coordinator.
Numeruous project proposals also borned during the activity, and we have engaged more people in using HSW.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of the facilitator during the seminar together with my collegue dr. Rutai Zsuzsanna.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
