The objectives of the course were:

- To understand volunteering in sport as a way of participation.
- to develop competencies required for active participation and volunteering throughout every stage of the project.
- to prepare the participants for the national practices.
- to plan the activities proposed to the participants of the Championship in Clermont-Ferrand.
Participants
A group of 24 high-school students (aged between 13 and 16) coming from Croatia, France, Hungary, Latvia, Malta and Turkey.
Educational Team
The educational team was comprised of 6 facilitators coming from each of the participating countries.
The programme was developed to approach the concepts of youth participation and voluteering in sport. Particularly Education Through Sport concept is adopted. It was grounded on non-formal education methodologies. It included experiential learning, sport games, body-mind practices, discussions in plenary and small groups, simulation games, self-reflection...
Participants gained a better understanding of the concepts of youth participaitons and volunteering in sports. They developped their confidence in the role that young people can play in society. They sharpened their communication skills, especially in an intercultural environment. They enhanced their capabilities to plan and run activities for their peers.
As a facilitator I was in charge of developing, implementing and evaluating the educational contents and methods for the activity.
