Aims & objectives

The promoter of the training course was an informal youth group. They were combined of university students and teachers in a state school. They were looking for job opportunities and defining difficulties finding a job. The training activity aimed to find out causes of unemployment, to analyse youth attemps to find out why the youth unemployment rate is higher than the avarage, and how to fight against unemployment. The training course is addressed the young people who need to have right qualifications to find a proper job for themselves.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

In the training course, there were 3 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy and Turkey. They were all the students and unemployed young people between 20 - 25 years old.

Training methods used & main activities

Brain storming, lecture (brief analytical references of rates of unemployment), open space, presentation of unemployment issues of the countries

Outcomes of the activity

Participants were able to define the problems of unemployment both micro and macro level, how to have enough job skills and competences to be an entrepreneur.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was organizing the sessions and holding the sessions. And I held some icebreakers as well.

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer.
