Aims & objectives

GOAL

The training course has provided space to reflect on the current situation of young people facing multiple crises - post-pandemic, war, refugee, climate.

Competences of youth workers and specialists dealing with youth issues were discussed and developed.

Results

Knowledge: Participants have gained a deeper understanding of the conditions of uncertainty and its
impact on young people, including those affected by the war in Ukraine and the refugee crisis. They have learned about the latest trends and approaches in resilience training and how to develop resilience in young people.

Skills: Participants have developed practical skills in delivering resilience training to young people and building resilience in their daily work. They have
also learned how to adapt their youth work practices to the new challenges posed by the pandemic war and refugee crisis.

Attitudes and Behaviours: Participants have developed a positive attitude towards resilience training and a commitment to integrating it into their daily work with young people.
They have also developed the skills to engage with young people in a supportive and non-judgmental
manner, and to encourage them to take an active role in building their own resilience.

Training methods used & main activities

The training "Turbulent Times & Resilience in Youthwork" employed various non-formal learning methods, including interactive group-building activities, World Café discussions, practical resilience-building exercises, and the creation of personal development plans for resilience and well-being. Additionally, cultural and social nights were organized to promote intercultural exchange and social cohesion among participants.

Outcomes of the activity

The training activity "Turbulent Times & Resilience in Youthwork" achieved significant outcomes in enhancing participants' understanding and practical skills in resilience-building within youth work. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by young people in turbulent times, including those affected by war, refugee crises, and the pandemic. The training equipped them with practical skills to deliver resilience training and develop personal resilience plans, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental approach towards youth.

The success of the training can be evaluated through participant feedback, observed improvements in their resilience training delivery, and the implementation of resilience strategies in their daily work. The dissemination of knowledge and practices through follow-up actions in their communities further indicates the training's effectiveness.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

In the trainers' team for the "Turbulent Times & Resilience in Youthwork" training, my role was that of a full-time trainer. I was actively involved in planning, organizing, and delivering various training sessions and activities. These activities included group-building exercises, resilience-building practices, and facilitating discussions in the World Café format. I also guided participants in creating personal development plans for resilience and well-being, and coordinated cultural and social nights to foster intercultural exchange and community building among participants.

My responsibilities extended to ensuring that the learning environment was supportive and non-judgmental, allowing participants to fully engage and benefit from the training. I worked closely with other trainers to tailor the sessions to meet the specific needs and contexts of the participants, ensuring that the training was relevant and impactful.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
