The main aim of the training was to identify the elements of the successful volunteer management within European Youth Capital initiatives, to provoke participants to assess their own volunteers management’s strengths and needs within each of the elements; to explore each element of the volunteers management cycle through a variety of activities and discussions; to create a common ground for sharing of expertise and resources between participants in order to improve their volunteers management skills.
An international group of 26 participants coming from Greece, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria.
Non-formal educational tools were used including games, icebreakers, working groups, presentations, simulations, reflection, world cafe, field work, etc.
Shared good practices and models of work with volunteers by the previous European Youth Capitals representatives
Increased motivation for working with volunteers
Increased information about the Volunteers Management Cycle and its phases
Developed a detailed action plan of tasks to be done when implementing the Volunteers Management Cycle
Preparation and delivery of the training.
