TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Rodrigo Vilarinho
The training aims to develop the following trainer’s competences:
Creating a challenging, democratic and secure learning space
Participation of the adult learner and the young person in the learning process
Design, plan and adapt to the context, setting and participants needs
The trainer’s role for a good Learning Experience – meaningful communication in the process of developing, preparing, conducting and following-up training.
The training is intended for beginner trainers in the field of youth that already have some experience.
16 participants form 11 European countries
We use active and efficient learning methods when addressing these diverse and related topics. There will be space to analyse the way we personally work as trainers already and how to improve and learn for the future.
The first three training days will be dedicated to exploring the topic of the training. In the 4th day participants, in teams, will be creating 45 min workshop models on the concept(s) of Solidarity. This will be a chance to put into practice what was explored in the previous days and to reflect better and analyze the design approaches from a practical standpoint.
4 different sessions using several new learning tools were implemented by the end of the training course.
Participants evaluations were very positive. We also did a follow up meeting with participants from the previous edition where the follow up evaluation regarding usefulness of this training was quite high.
I designed the training course and implemented it fully.
Estonian Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps had a very good cooperation with the trainer Rodrigo Vilarinho in the development, implementation, and follow-up phases of the “Training for Beginner Trainers“.
Rodrigo perfectly understood the input given by the agency and our expectations regarding the training format and the expected result. We could even say that he exceeded expectations by introducing an innovative approach.
As a trainer, Rodrigo knows how to create a well-structured and goal-oriented training plan. When implementing the plan, he uses a lot of creativity and is good at following the needs of the group without losing sight of the goal of the training.
Based on the participants' survey conducted during and after the training, satisfaction with the training and the trainer was very high.
