The Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD) is an annual programme of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) which brings together young people, youth leaders and relevant stakeholders from around the world to discuss pertinent youth issues. One of the trainings were dedicated to the role of youth in advocating for SDGs. Aim of the trainings was to empower young people coming from different parts of the world to advocate for SDGs based on the needs of their national realities. During the trainings we aimed to identify roles of municipalities, local governments and youth organisations in ensuring sustinable development of cities and communities. As WAY is an international organisation which unites national youth councils and other NGOs across the world addressing the need for sustainable development was very relevant.
