Investigating the challenges facing social/youth workers dealing with the refugee situation on a local, national or European level and the measures to be undertaken. This meeting shall be structured in the form of a study session, and the programme shall concern itself with the theme “social/youth worker dealing with refugees” in today and the very complex social political situations arising from it.
The session also deals with the various governmental policies on refugees in the different countries in towards the refugee situation will also be thoroughly explored.
The participants to be invited shall, ideally, be Youth workers, social workers, young volunteers, all of who should be actively involved in Youth/social Work. Those with more experience (professionally or voluntarily) in the field of Refugee integration, at any level, would of course be very beneficial to the group. The group should also be mixed with some relatively new inexperienced participants to help maintain the equilibrium during the week long event.
The fact that around 35 young from various social, cultural and national will be living and working together in the EYC, should ensure a very promising intercultural process.
The team based to the EFYSO member organizations, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Hungary.
The Study Session programme is consist of interactive working methods: simulations, plenary sessions, lectures (professional inputs), working groups, role-plays, discussion groups and intercultural group dynamics.
This Study Session is aimed at providing the participants with some especially in regards to the integration of foreigners(refugees).
