The Gap - youth work and mental wellbeing

The training activity took place
in Altamura, Italy
organised by Link Association
23-29.5.2024.

Aims & objectives

The aim ofthe first stage of The Gap will be to
provide youth workers with tools to:

explore personal wellbeing;
develop empathetic communication;
learn how to build trust and a safe space.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group were at youthworkers, youth leaders,
peer supporters, teachers/educators, therapists, psychologists.

Group was coming Croatia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Georgia and Armenia.

Training methods used & main activities

We have used traditional non formal methodology but in particular we have been applying theatre, performing arts, dance and body psychotherapy approaches.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants have reported increased feet sense of their inner wellbeing, knowledge about wellbeing and mental health, they had a chance to create a toolbox of different approaches to support themselves and their work.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of the trainers who was responsible for the design if the training, facilitation and reporting.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
