TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

“The Future is Europe” was an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership in youth Key Action 2 project starting in spring 2022 for the duration of two years. It was written and applied for by the Don Bosco Youth-Net Working Group on Volunteering and was aimed at young volunteers.
The project’s aim was to help define a vision for voluntary service for the next years in setting long-term goals helping all partner organisations to develop concrete actions.
The activities aim to raise young people's awareness on issues such as European citizenship, civic engagement and common values. They connect young people from various countries and help them develop their soft skills, competencies and their employability. This will help all partner organisations create an education model for active and European citizenship to be implemented in all countries involved and beyond.
The target groups of this training were young volunteers and staff members from international volunteering organisations from Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Malta and Austria
We have used experiential learning, group and individual work, study visits and creative methods.
Impact of the project:

more extensive reach to young people through quality projects
I was one of the trainers, especially focussing on the development of the non-formal educational flow of the training. I took care of facilitating group dynamics, content-wise input and facilitating spaces for the group to connect the dots and develop actions and plans.
