Technological Youth Work

Aims & objectives

- To explore the current trends, characteristics and forms of youth work and participation through
ICT.
- To provide information for protecting children and young people who are the most vulnerable
groups within cyber-crimes and related activities.
- To promote eco-friendly and cost efficient ways; understanding how we can save our world by
using renewable energy resources,
- To provide information and skills on using ICT for organizations to establish contacts with other
organizations with similar aims and objectives and create partnerships for joint youth projects
in the field of their interests.
- To provide skills on drafting and implementing an efficient MARCOM (marketing and
communication) plan by using ICT.
- To exchange experiences and good practices in networking, participation/recruiting and
inclusion of young people with disabilities in youth work through ICT.
- To analyze challenges and opportunities of the use of new technologies in youth work.
- To explore first-hand the ICT tools that allow democratic, inclusive, meaningful and
empowering participation and networking by all young people.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

35 youth workers and trainers coming from:
Italy, Albania, Greece, Serbia, Ukraine, Armenia, Estonia, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

With help of brief modified lectures, case studies and discussions participants gained theoretic knowledge about creative people and factors that determine creative orientation of these personalities. Simulations and drama exercises helped to learn attitudes that foster creative thinking. Intercultural learning activities with emphasis on dance, music and visual arts engaged participants in intense practice of their creative abilities

Outcomes of the activity

Work of the participants brought two new international projects and innovations supporting environment in their organizations. Learning program helped participants to open, explore and develop their own creativity, increase awareness about importance of the creativity in the non-formal and formal education and build understanding about harnessing creativity of groups.
With a big plus of new skills in the IT world, not so common in this training world, giving more competences and without any problems in the future for all the youth workers involved in the project.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Preparing session and activities as full time trainer and plus assessment, designing learning program, preparing grant application, facilitating and evaluating learning activities, preparing final report, overall project coordination.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
