TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The training course aimed to develop the quality of youthwork and contribute to enhance capacity of youth trainers. With this aim in mind, the course attempted to create space for youth trainers to effectively share their practical knowledge and to teach the members of youth organizations the principles of civil rights, team-building, motivation, project, time, and conflict management based on non-formal learning.
AIM: To strengthen youth leader’s capacity of sharing their practical knowledge within their teams.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To raise self-confidence and motivational skills of trainers in youth NGOs;
2. To improve the skills of NGO educators of sharing their knowledge;
3. To give the young leaders efficient tools to advocate, lobby and negotiate their interests;
4. To train high - qualified specialists, who can easily work in their teams and find conflicts at the initial stage;
5. To support the youth cooperation between EU and EU neighbouring countries
This T.O.T. project was implemented with collaboration of 8 countries including Georgia, Germany, Ukraine. Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Macedonia and Turkey.
The project activities were based non-formal methodology involving activiyies like buzz group discussions, simulation games, creative workshops, role play, poster presentation, living library, etc.
This activity supported the professional development of youth workers with the learning outcomes such as; building a repertoire of non-formal methods, gaining insights about non-formal pedagogy with references to relevant theories, and expanding their contacts with other youthworkers.
As the trainer of the course, I was responsible for delivering the sessions and providing my participants with guidance and mentorship for the implementation of the activities during the project.
