Aims & objectives

The Study Visit in Spain within the framework of this project had the following objectives:
- Create a face-to-face space to exchange and discuss to build the decalogue.
- Talk with representatives of the Spanish National Agency (INJUVE), Spanish Ministry of Childhood and Youth, Catalonian Youth Council, and Regional Youth Authotiries.
- Know more about the good practices of the Spanish Youth Council

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The international team was composed of almost 20 people:
- Board members of the Youth Councils from Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Italy, Cyprus, Romania and Lithuania
- Members of the secretariat of the Youth Councils from Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Italy, Cyprus, Romania and Lithuania

Training methods used & main activities

As a trainer, we used different gamification methodologies in order to empower the participants and to facilitate the discussions.
The main methods we used were:
- Work in small groups
- Presentations using creativity
- Discussions, conversations and exchanges in one group
- Self-reflection

Outcomes of the activity

The main outcome of the activity was the creation of the first draft of the Decalogue.
During the first 3 days, participants could discuss and exchange opinions in order to agree on different points to share with other Youth Council and continue promoting the right of youth participation and ensure the independence of the youth councils.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Together my colleague, our tasks and responsabilities as trainers and facilitators were:
- Create the content of the sessions according to the recommendations of the Spanish Youth Council.
- Level the knowledge of the participants about the youth Council, youth governance and youth participation
Promote the dialogue between the participants in the activity
- Create a safe space where participants were able to express and discuss about the topic from different views and perspectives.
- Facilitate the discussion and the conversation with the representatives of INJUVE (Spanish National Agency) and the Spanish Ministry of Childhood and Youth
- Facilitate the process of discussion of the people to build a Decalogue to ensure the Independence of Youth Councils.
- Compile the discussions and conversations to include them in the report of the activity
- Write the report of the study visit after the activity

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
