The training activity took place
in Amarante, Portugal
organised by Youth for Exchange and Understanding

Aims & objectives

Aim: Focusing on street animation as a tool for local actions, it intends to provide the participants with the necessary competencies to plan, implement and evaluate activities that use street animation as a tool of creative participation in civil society.
Objectives: Based on non-formal education methodology it will put the participants in contact with creative and dynamic methods of performative arts and street animation in order to explore it as a tool for social intervention and by providing an attractive and creative approach to increase the active participation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Composition of group: 24 participants aged 15 - 36, from 5 countries: PL, PT, LT, RO, IT

PT, ESP, CZ - Senior Trainers, EE - organiser

Training methods used & main activities

The training course was run partly as a simulation of "Secret Agents" training the agent-wannabes. The team has used diverse methods starting with interactive exercise to get to know each other, to presentations, workshops, discussions, group work etc. Participants have had time to practice what they have learned during the training course - preparing and running street animation events.

Outcomes of the activity

- Videos and articles about street animation as a tool for local action and participation.
- Report describing the daily programme, methods and education approach and participants´ evaluation.
- Local teams for the follow up activity "Inter-Active Train" with already planned local activities in their home countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- Be an integral part of the team and contribute to the development of the entire programme.
- Be responsible for running sessions throughout the training course and supporting fellow team members and the participants.
- Attend all the steps in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the training course as well contribute to the preparation of the final report.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
