TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Joseph Teuma
The aim in this activity was that youth leaders and youth workers who were interested in making exchanges under the Youth in Action programmes (action 1.1) had the opportunity to find and match a partner/s organisation.
This activity was very beneficial for the Italian organisation. Their members coming from different regions in Italy managed to get to know how to create youth projects of non-formal activities through Youth in Action programmes and making them aware of the advantages in working with other European countries.
In this training there were countries such as Italy, Malta, England, Germany, Finland, Romania, Spain, Hungary and Slovakia. However there were also co-trainers from Italy, Belgium and Spain which all together we managed to make such a successful training.
The activities used in this training were all in non-formal methods. In the beginning of the training name and team-building games were used. During the other sessions other hands-on activities were used. These were to learn about skills such as communication, conflict resolution and sessions of intercultural learning and European dimensions. There were also games for ice-breakers, energisers, the closure part and evaluation sessions. There were also workshops, creative role-plays and presentations so participants could match with other partner/s and start concretely work on a project.
Almost all youth leaders and youth workers managed to find partner/s during the training course. These new matching partners showed new and interesting creative projects.
This training was also a success since during the end evaluation discussion there were many positive reactions. The participants made also the Youthpass.
The following are 2 websites where such participants expressed their testimonies:

I was responsible to implement the training and managed work as a team. I did most of the thematic part while I was the support for the co-trainers. Since most of the co-trainers were their first experience in such an event so I was also the motivator for them in order to deliver their part especially ice-breakers, energisers and intercultural events.
