Aims & objectives

- raising awareness about marginalization and radicalization among young people at risk;
- promoting soft skills development to combat marginalization and radicalization;
- development of the soft skills competences (emotional intelligence, creative thinking, communication and collaboration skills);
-to gain skills and develop competences for youth workers in the frames of non-formal education;
- raise awareness about the tools used by the colleagues to combat marginalization, as well as to share the tools;

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The team consisted of 30 young people (youth and social workers from 18 to 40) coming from 10 countries: Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Romania, Moldova, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, France.

Training methods used & main activities

- discussions, debates;
- role plays, simulation activities;
- theatric activities and games;
- open space;
-exchange pf experiences;
- presentations, group brainstorming, brainwriting;

At the TC we used non-formal learning methods, such as discussions (for example, the Abigail story, in the frames of our topic and the further discussions).

Outcomes of the activity

The results of the project were, first of all, the accomplished objectives. In fact, we
- specified and learned more about the groups at risk in different countries;
- raised awareness of the participants, and their colleagues in their NGOs, about marginalization and radicalization processes from the social and psychological points of view;
- went in depth in topics as cultural diversity, marginalization and radicalization and shared experiences and best practices about them, using our soft skills;
- discovered new working tools;
- shared experiences and best practices about working with youngsters at risk in the field of non-formal education.
