The main aim of the "Smooth and successful transition into a labor market" project is to equip youth workers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and innovative tools to effectively guide, mentor, and support young individuals in their transition from education to employment. By addressing the specific needs and challenges faced by both youth workers and young people, this project seeks to enhance youth employability, remove barriers to equal access, and elevate the overall quality of youth work in the EU.
The main objectives of the project:
- To empower 28 participating youth workers with the essential competences and expertise required to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to European youngsters in their pursuit of meaningful employment.
- To contribute to bridging the skills gap among European youth in order to ensure that they possess the skills and knowledge demanded by employers.
- To enhance the overall quality of youth work practices in the EU by prioritizing the professional development of
youth workers.
- To create and disseminate a comprehensive PDF guide for European youth workers and NGOs. This guide will serve as a valuable resource, offering practical techniques and strategies to help young individuals in local communities
secure employment.
- To strengthen the capacities of the applicant and its partners by improving their capacities in planning, implementing, and evaluating future youth-focused projects effectively and evolving their daily youth work.
- To actively promote the Erasmus Plus Program as an essential resource for youth workers and organizations
dedicated to youth development.
These six objectives collectively form the foundation of our project, addressing the pressing challenges faced by youth workers and young people in their journey from education to employment. Through these objectives, we aim to make a meaningful impact on youth employability, equal access, and the quality of youth work practices throughout the EU.
The 28 participants of the project will include youth
workers, youth educators, youth coordinators, professionals with expertise in youth development, and NGO representatives from Latvia, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Germany, Turkey, and Greece. These participants, aged 21-35 (with some flexibility), have experience working with marginalized or disadvantaged youth, including those facing economic, social, or geographical barriers.
Mainly the methods were focusing on presentation skills and self evaluation as a start to cover the main aspects of the finding suitable jobs and be integrated into the labour market. Non formal education was the approach of the training, also we highlighted the idea of Social/entrepreneurship as a full circle education to ensure that participants who have more passion to pursue their goals. We tackled also how to write a CV and how to carry out a coach/Coacheee relationship as a simulation of running interviews.
A primary focus on teamwork and conflicts within teams were presented to ensure the full overview on the work place context and how can the new generation be more prepared.
1. Empowered Youth Workers: Empowered the 28 participating youth workers from 7 different countries will acquire essential competences and expertise to provide effective guidance, mentorship, and support to young individuals in their transition from education to employment.
2. Enhanced Youth Employability: Increased the skills which close the gap among european youth ensuring that they possess the skills and knowledge demanded by employers. And creating an improvement in the employability of young people as a direct result of the training and support provided by participating youth workers.
3. Improved Quality of Youth Work Practices: Prioritising the professional development of youth workers, and enhancing the overall quality of youth work practices in the EU. As well as, to have a positive impact on the youth work sector, leading to more effective and impactful youth programs and initiatives.
4. Valuable Resource Guide: Created a comprehensive PDF guide for European youth workers and NGOs which will serve as a lasting resource. This guide will offer practical techniques and strategies to help young individuals in local communities secure employment. We expect this guide to be widely used and to continue benefiting youth workers beyond the project's duration and for future NGOs to use a good practices.
5. Strengthened Capacities: Aimed to strengthen the capacities of the participants and the partners by improving their abilities in planning, implementing, and evaluating future youth-focused projects effectively. This capacity-building aspect will have a lasting impact on the organizations involved, enabling them to continue delivering high-quality youth work in the long term.
6. Promotion of Erasmus+: The focus on actively promoting of the Erasmus Plus Program as an essential resource for youth workers and organizations dedicated to youth development will contribute to increased awareness and participation in EU youth programs. which believed to have a positive impact on the broader youth work community.
