Sexualised violence and protection concepts in international youth work

The training activity took place
in Köln
organised by IJAB & universität Kassel
30.11.2023-1.12.2423

Aims & objectives

The safety and protection of young people is also central to the measures and services offered by international youth work. As part of the project “Prevention of sexualized violence in international youth work”, IJAB is hosting an international workshop in Cologne on 30 November to discuss methods and further develop tools to ensure this protection.
The workshop aims to build on existing protection concepts and develop them further together with young people and international partners in order to strengthen the protection of young people. In joint discussions, visions for the future will be developed on how cross-border cooperation can contribute to the participatory development of protection concepts in international youth work. Around 50 national and international experts will take part.
