Seminar "Let's celebrate! 11 years experiencing inclusion through EVS"

Aims & objectives

- To analyze the Erasmus+ programme and in particular the European Voluntary Service initiative through the
perspective of inclusion and diversity.

- To exchange experiences, good practices, challenges and difficulties in the development of inclusion in EVS
projects.

- To put in value the importance of EVS projects undertaken by people with fewer opportunities.

- To develop strategies to improve the quality of inclusion projects.

- To celebrate 30 years of Erasmus and 10 years + 1 of the Avilés International Youth Mobility Office.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Group: 30 EVS coordinators and ex-volunteers from partner organizations from Germany, France, Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Slovenia, Egypt, Italy, Finland and Latvia.
Facilitators: Vanessa Moreno Sierra, María Pérez Fernández, Giulia Pagoni and Alberto García García.

- Meeting with local authorities.
- Meeting with local organizations working in the field of inclusion.
- Open talks.

Outcomes of the activity

A document with good practices and lessons learned in inclusive EVS projects and a check list to
foster inclusion in EVS projects.

An exhibition with pictures and texts by participants in the different inclusive projects organized during the last 11 years. It was exhibited both in the main park of the town as well as at the Youth Service.
