TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The main aims was to provide a space to explore the potential of the Youth in Action Programme, in light of the new EU strategy for youth - Investing & Empowering.
A renewed open method of coordination to address youth challenges and opportunities and the Council resolution of the 27th of November 2009 on a renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018).
The objectives of the event are:
-To analyse practise and resources within the Youth in Action programme, and to reflect further
on their inspiration by, and contribution to youth policy (focussing on Education, Training,
Employment and Entrepreneurship - EEET)
-To reflect and discuss different understandings of the policy fields of action (EEET)
-To explore the impact of the renewed youth policy framework on future practise within the YiA
programme
-To highlight the achievements and the roles of SALTO-YOUTH within the Youth in Action programme
-To celebrate 10 years of SALTO-YOUTH;
Target group:
There were cca 150 stakeholders of the Programme, including the European
Commission, National Agencies, political authorities from different levels, beneficiaries, researchers
and some further experts and partners (interested and with experience in the youth policies and topics of the event);
Methods:
International conference combined methods like key speakers inputs, panel discussions, workshops and good practices sharing;
Outcomes:
Participants reflected on the new policy framework in the selected fields and develop ideas and ways of translation of these topics to the Youth in Action Programme context to operationalized the new policy framework.The documentation of the event is under construction;
My role and responsibility:
I was facilitator of the event with the colleague responsible for preparation and facilitation of the event as well as to support SALTO RCs in their preparation.
