Aims & objectives

Put your hand on work was a Partnership Building Activity that aims to create a network to improve the competences of youth workers and institutions from different organizations based in Portugal and Spain, to work on the topic of the youth employment opportunities and entrepreneurship.

Objectives
. Promote a strong qualitative partnerships and contents background to develop common
projects in the frame of Erasmus +;
. Reflect on unemployment situation of youth in Europe;
. Improve access to information for young people and partner organizations to provide more
capacity to function as spaces of contact and support for young people, especially those looking the access to European labor market, and possibilities of participation in mobility projects;
. Share experiences of best practices on youth unemployment in participant countries and exchange of knowledge;
. Encourage the creation of future projects within Erasmus+ Program, which will target
unemployed youngsters.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The Participants team was composed by 18 participants from Portugal (8) and Spain (10), all of them involved in organizations that are working in the youth field. The most part of the participants had experience with the previous program “Youth in Action” and some of them already had submitted applications to the actual programme “Erasmus +”.

Training methods used & main activities

The program was structured with a balanced combination of introductory plenary discussions,
round tables and working groups. The uses of non-formal education methodologies ensure the
active participation of all individuals involved. Working groups and active methods also been used in order to create an environment that encourages a dynamic involvement of all participants. The diversity of approaches have been used in order to addresses the group various ways to better engage and contribute to the discussed topics.

Outcomes of the activity

Besides the development of the participants knowledge and experience about entrepreneurship, youth work, youth employment and competences for employability, participants had the opportunity to developed some partnerships to be develop under Erasmus + program.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Full time trainer/ facilitator and responsibe for the program design and curriculum.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
