Aims & objectives

On-arrival Training course in Austria is about
- getting to know other EVS volunteers
- sharing first impressions about Austria and the EVS-project
- receiving information and questions about EVS and Austria
- dealing with expectations and fears concerning the time in Austria

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

It was a group of 22 international EVS volunteers coming from following countries: Finland, Germany, Hungary, Holland, Lithuania, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine.

Training methods used & main activities

Diverse methods based on the needs of the volunteers. There are at least 2 key sessions of experiential learning and a lot of learning by doing, group discussions as well as personal reflections.

Outcomes of the activity

Happier volunteers and better quality of EVS in Austria.
