Aims & objectives

is a learning experience that aims to train
youth educators on how to bring personal
development elements while working in
outdoor context

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

In the TC we had 3 mobilities per country: 3 mobilities from BG, CZ, IT, LT, ES,UK
LV brings one trainer and 4 participants, NL 1, and GR 4,RO 2.
Together 30 mobilities,. 15 with fewer opportunities.

Training methods used & main activities

In the 8-day Outdoor Training Course, we used methods such as outdoors, games, storytelling, theatre, discussions, creative and challenging exercises, reflections, feedback, hikes and celebrations. Participants got empowered to have a deeper understanding and ability to use outdoors as a method in order to address social inclusion as well as other topics related to the youth they work with or for their educational work. They increased their competencies in creating and delivering high quality non-formal educational outdoor programs focusing on inclusion, cooperation, and diversity. Additionally, participants are now more able to use outdoor activities in any other context (formal learning, team building, tourism).

Outcomes of the activity

During No Box project, both tangible and intangible results were created.
Tangible results created:
+ Toolbox/manual for outdoor activities (online pdf version shared with lots of partners, participants, their peers, other NGOs, educators etc)
+ more than four publications in English and other languages
+ more than 20 specifically for this project follow-up activities and many more where our participants implemented their learning
+ FB group for this project that works as a closed platform for outdoor educators and youth workers for exchanging ideas, tools, project partnerships, methods etc.

Intangible results are the created impact of the project and it is as follows:
+ learning outcomes of participants that improved their competences, behaviours, skills on professional and personal level
+ raised capacity of our partners (more equipped youth workers, educators and trainers; new outdoor manual; improved international partnerships)
+ reached local communities in all partner countries, raised awareness of topics inclusion, diversity, cooperation
