TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Lucie Schubert
The Next wave training course took place in Villa Čerych and its sunny garden. 19 participants, from 10 different countries spent 5 full programme days thinking about how to use their previous international experience in their future practice, both personal and professional. As an outcome of our introspective training process, the participants set up inspiring goals for their future actions.
aims of the TC:
- To explore learning outcomes and added value of an international training activity.
- To reflect upon the impact of a particular training activity, both personally and professionally.
- To share good practices and to develop new ideas for sustainable actions in own realities.
- To provide different tools to help to take actions
- To provide space for networking
19 participants, from 10 different countries
ex-TCP users - participants who have been sent to international TCP activities by NAs in previous years.
3 trainers selected by the Czech NA:
Alena Capova, CZ NA pool
Lucie Frisova, CZ NA pool
Saro Rossi, IT NA pool
support - Adela Pribylova, CZ NA TCP coordinator
The programme was based on the principles and practice of non-formal education taking into
account participants’ needs, motivations and experiences. The programme flow was inspired
by the methodology of appreciative inquiry and as such followed a specific time sequence: past -
future - present - future. We based our sessions on personal reflection, and sharing.
In general, this training course has reached its goals and have had a lasting impact on the participants. The programme offered enough space for self directed learning and introspective reflection. The summer time played well into our intentions and allowed the participants to fully detach from their busy life and to take a moment for them to stop, and to refill the energy. The personal goals that participants planned as tangible results of this training course seem to be strong, deep, and embedding the benefits from their previous international experiences analysed throughout the course.
