New Media Summer School 2015 - Sofia

The training activity took place
in Sofia, BG
organised by EuroDIG Secretariat
31th May - 6th June 2015

Aims & objectives

The New Media Summer School gathers young people from all over Europe to include their perspectives in the policy discussions at the European Dialogue on Internet Governance. The NMSS prepares the young people through exchanges in the group and with other stakeholders to allow them to make up their mind and learn about the diverse topics in this policy area.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The team for the training consisted of two people, with support of several external actors standing available for inputs and support. The group consisted of about 20 young people, 2/3 from the SEE area, 1/3 from western/central/southern Europe.

Training methods used & main activities

The methods combined non-formal discussion starters with media pedagogical reflection tools. The seminar involved many inputs and allowed for group reflection periods in the end of the day.

Outcomes of the activity

The group developed a video input for the conference and is developing statements to be published online and forwarded to other events in this policy area.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team
