Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Target group in training course by name "Medi(a)tation"were young people, youth workers, youth leaders, educators and Human Rights activists.

Participants from six countries, Romania, Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal took part in the training course.

In total two trainers from Greece and Serbia were involved in delivering program activities.

The working language of the training course was English.

Training methods used & main activities

The training methods used for TOY (Toolkit for Youth) activities involved non-formal learning techniques. These methods emphasize experiential learning, active participation, and peer-to-peer education.
These methods align with the principles of non-formal learning because they are participant-centered, flexible, and often occur outside the conventional classroom environment. They emphasize learning through doing, encourage collaboration, and adapt to the needs of the learners.

Outcomes of the activity

The main theme of the training course "Medi(a)tation" was focused on Human Rights and how to use different media in creating final product, campaign/s.

At the end of this training course, participants created five campaigns that are related with topic of Human Rights.

Their work in small groups was combination of on line and off line campaigns. They used digital media for combating discrimination and social exclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, and promoting solidarity and equality of all people, regardless of their national, cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual, gender or other differences.

The product – five campaigns – was distributed after the training course to all participants and in all participating countries, therefore spreading out that important message of respecting Human Rights, inclusion, tolerance, solidarity, understanding and peace.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

In activities where non-formal learning methods were used as part of TOY (Toolkit for Youth) programs, my role was that of a full-time trainer. I was actively involved in the planning, facilitation, and implementation of the training sessions. My responsibilities included Leading the sessions using techniques such as role-playing, simulations, group discussions, and creative arts-based methods. Fostering an inclusive space where all participants felt comfortable sharing their ideas.
Encouraging respect, openness, and mutual support within the group.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
