TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

This training course will focus on:
• Understanding better the medium of the internet
• The effect of the internet of young people's life style
• Explorations of topics like: E-participation, copyright, Online identities, Social networks, cyber bullying,
• Workshops on online tools (how to build a website, blogging, Social Networking and other tools)
• The opportunity to try new tools and implement them during the TC
• Visiting online projects taking place in Malta (Kellimni SOS Malta/ Agenzija Zghazagh/ Osana Pia), Insafe (MCA))
• Opportunity to find partners and work on future projects.
The target for this training was youth worker / leader who would like to understand the social factors contributing to the popularity of the Internet and to also get some hands on practice on Online tools which can be used in their professional work. This training hosted 30 participants coming form 9 different countries coming, Italy, Spain, Malta, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Portugal and Belgium
The training used in the training was non formal methods learning. The methods varied from Open space technology to share online tools and give input on best practices to hand on practical session to learn how to do your own blog, websites, content management and other online related activities.
Outcomes
- participants become more familiar with Online tools
- participants increased awareness on how to manage better social network sites and how to convey the message more efficiently
- Shared best practices of online projects and visited projects in Malta.
- Increased networking among the participants present for Log in Training
