The project aimed in the development of youth leadership as a way to:

b. to support the capacity building of the partner organisations.
Participants: 42 people from 13 countries.
Trainers: 4 trainers from Cyprus and 2 expert presenters
All working activities aimed at fostering intercultural learning and exchange between participants from diverse backgrounds. Following a participative and learner- centered approach, we used non-formal learning activities which were closely linked to the participants' needs, aspirations and interests. The educational tools included: Ice breakers and energisers, discussions in the plenary, question and answer sessions, group- building activities, simulation exercises, debriefing after each exercise, case studies, individual work, work in small groups, brainstorming, presentations, info sessions for theoretical output, hands- on experiences, team games, tests & quiz, intercultural events (international night & city hunt), representations/ act- outs in the plenary, drama/ theatre of the oppressed, interaction with mentors and business experts, practice learning through a debate exercise and more.
All the main and the specific objectives of this educational activity were met. With this project we offered to youth workers, youth leaders and current/potential board members from a wide range of youth organisations the possibility to develop their leadership skills, knowledge and competencies through non‐formal education.
The types of skills which were developed are:
Key employability skills and soft skills such as decision making, time management, facilitation of effective meetings, coaching, future planning, and partnership building, communication (active listening, speaking and presentation skills, starting meaningful conversations), negotiation skills, and the skills needed in order to set goals and have the confidence to carry them out, to influence and show the way to others.
-Leadership Skills such as How to work in a team; How to influence others towards a common goal (to guide others on a course of action); How to lead a project or an organisation; What are the good practices other organisations use regarding leadership.
-The importance of the dissemination and the exploitation of the results of their projects;
