Intercultural Dialogue Through Art Photography

Aims & objectives

- Enhance dialogue, understanding, compassion and tolerance among people of diverse religions, cultures and races in Turkey, EECCA and EU countries;
- Identify similarities and differences between different cultural traditions and perceptions;
- Develop skills and competences of participants in art photography;
- Provide an intercultural setting and increase respect between cultures
- Create a network for future projects

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Team included trainers from Holland/Brazil/Turkey. Participating countries were Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, UK and Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

Methods included a combination of input, discussions, field work, simulations and reflection. Emphasis was put towards flexibility and adapting the training content to fit the varying needs of participants.

Outcomes of the activity

Measurements of the training's success was evidenced in the final feedback from participants, as well as the local impact of the project.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As a team of 2 trainers we worked together to design and implement the course, and took care of coordination and logistics as needed.

I worked on this training for 26/08/2013 days as a full time trainer.
