Aims & objectives

This was study visit between Finland and Italy. Aim was to learn and see what kind of role youth work has when working with refugees.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

It was bilateral co-operation between Finland and Italy.

Training methods used & main activities

This was based on visiting different services / NGO´s and hearing experts and some key note speakers. During the activity we used (among others) " Individual Research Question" - method, to support individual/organisational learning. Reflection was big part of the activity because of sensitive theme. Many of participants had similar background and personal memories/ experiences related to the topic.

Outcomes of the activity

It was well organize visit and participants gained a lot (based on feedback and evaluation).

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

We had 2 trainers - one form Italy, one from Finland. During the planning we shared tasks. During the action my co-facilitator had bigger role dealing with visits and my role was stronger after the visits - reflection, feedback and orientation for the next day.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
