Inclusion Mixer

The training activity took place
in Česky Krumlov, Czech Republic

Aims & objectives

The “Inclusion Mixer” project was a Training Course for youth workers aiming at increasing competences in the pedagogical development of
activities dealing with Social Inclusion Education by using non formal education methodology. Theme of the project is consistent with the
important European issue - social inclusion. In the training time we had possibility to discover what is inclusion and what is social
inclusion, the involvement of social inclusion principles, their origin and how they are respected and protected by the European countries. An important part of the program were devoted to the analysis of social
inclusion, respect and protection in different European countries. The participants and the team was invited to share their experiences,
not only with knowledge but also with the necessary materials and skills used in dealing with the development of the principle of social
inclusion in their educational activity and daily work with young people.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Training was for youth workers who work with social inclusion. Participants were from Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania.

Training methods used & main activities

Program started with getting know each other, ice-breaking. After we had introduction in social inclusion and each country were present situation about inclusion in their own countries.
Participants had presentation about existing handbook on inclusion ALL TOGETHER, and also have space to try some of those methods in practice.
Work was mainly in small groups and we organized it in educational, but funny ways. Also was some simulation activities.
In practical part we organized activities for people with disabilities in Český Krumlov. Also we had experts who are working with disable people every day and introduce participants with
Universal design principles.
There was 2 days of outdoor activities. Participants were try in practice everything they learn before.

Outcomes of the activity

In this training we gained all aims and participants were really satified about results. They got a lot examples and methods what to use in they daily work with social inclusion. As well they prepare common future projects and some of them already are realized.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsible to create and fully leading / facilitating programm.

I worked on this training for 10 days as a full time trainer.
