TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

Aims and objectives:
- giving participants tools to work with youth minorities in order to integrate them in the communities where they live;
- promoting the inclusion of young people from minority communities in the society exchanging competences on minority issues;
- empowering minority young people and minority communities in acquiring knowledge and skills on minorities;
- improving the quality of minority-focused projects, organised by the partner organisations in the future, both within and outside the Youth in Action programme;
- using non formal education as a tool for social change (presenting Compass manual)
- empowering the activities of the Youth Organizations which come from countries where minority communities are present and which work with minorities;
- building a new network composed by trainers and youth workers working with minorities with the aim to involve them in youth activities supported by the Youth Programme and by other programmes of aid;
- promoting the Youth in Action Programme as a tool for minority youth work
- setting up new partnerships
Team: two trainers (Luca Frongia and Max Fras), facilitators from PEL Macedonia and Beyond Barriers Albania, project manager (Roma Active Albania)
Target group: youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers, project managers involved in youth work
Participant countries: Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom
Training Methods: presentation of Compass and workshops using the manual, as well as other resources for citizenship work; group work on concepts of citizenship; reflection groups, amongst others
