The main aim was to enhance participants’ skills in promoting social and professional integration for migrants. The activity addressed the need to share best practices between countries (France, Germany, Romania) and develop concrete tools to foster inclusion. This workshop aligned perfectly with the goals of Les Orchidées Rouges, which focus on supporting vulnerable populations toward autonomy and sustainable integration.
The workshop brought together participants from three nationalities: French, German, and Romanian. The group included professionals working with migrants (social workers, educators, volunteers) and migrants themselves, providing a rich and diverse perspective. This international composition fostered the exchange of experiences, intercultural understanding, and the co-creation of solutions tailored to different national contexts.
During the workshop I used non-formal learning methods to encourage active and collaborative participation. These included small group discussions to exchange experiences, role-playing to simulate integration scenarios, and creative workshops such as designing community projects. Specific case studies were analyzed, followed by interactive debates to develop tailored solutions. These methods allowed participants to learn through experience and strengthen their practical skills.
The workshop enabled participants to develop practical skills to promote the social and professional integration of migrants. Three concrete projects were designed, including a local support program for migrants and an inclusion awareness campaign. The success of the workshop was reflected in the active engagement of participants, their positive feedback, and the collaborations established between the represented countries.
As the lead trainer, I was responsible for designing, organizing, and facilitating the workshop on inclusion and empowerment of migrants. I developed the program, led interactive sessions such as group discussions, role-playing, and creative workshops, and guided participants in developing actionable projects. I also coordinated with the team to adapt activities to participants’ needs and ensure the smooth execution of the workshop.
