Aims & objectives

To raise awareness about the hate speech in 8 participating countries;
To build the dialogue among representatives of different cultures and believes;
To offer solutions to prevent growing stereotypes and prejudice about the immigrants and refugees;
To equip participants with working models that they can use in their communities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Youth workers, activists, students, 8 countries were involved: Bulgaria, Spain, Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, Jordan, Cyprus, Croatia

Training methods used & main activities

Team building, Theatre of oppressed; mission impossible; learning while playing, interviewing local people, video-making; Painting gallery; Active participation; Building own environment.

Outcomes of the activity

40 participants learned about the hate speech problem and the prevention in their local communities; how they can perform as active citizens in order to stop stereotyping, prejudice and language of hatred.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
